Charihandra Lodge offers private game lodge accommodation near the Addo Elephant National Park, featuring thatched chalets which are stylish and very well equipped, allowing you to enjoy your Addo stay in great comfort. Elegantly appointed, with the emphasis on your comfort, relaxation and the ‘call of the wild’. The thatched chalets offer separate independent sun decks and braai or BBQ areas. The kitchen offer a full self catering option and include: stove, microwave and fridge.

The Charihandra Chalets are heated for the chilly Addo winter nights and include fans for the warmer Addo days. A valuables safe and hairdryer complete the well thought out facilities.

Koffylaagte Game Lodge & Tented Camp lies at the foot of the Karoo Mountain Belt, located between the World Heritage site of Baviaanskloof and the second largest national park in South Africa, the “Addo Elephant Park”. Koffylaagte is home to a wealth of wild life, including 22 species of Southern African antelope, zebra, white rhinoceros, buffalo, giraffe, as well as a rich variety of other land mammals such as monkeys, baboons, warthogs, bush pig, black-backed jackals, bat-eared fox, ant bear, porcupine, civet cat, meerkat, mongoose etc – the list is endless. The area also boasts a wide variety of bird species, water fowl, game birds and birds of prey such as the majestic Marshall Eagle have been spotted in the reserve.

Koffylaagte translates as “Coffee Hollow” and owes its name to its colorful history as the resting place of the early settler traders. A unique venue for a true South African experience. Tastefully decorated 12 double room include Farm House units and a Tented Bush Camp site for the families, as well as luxury en-suite Lodge rooms and exquisite Safari Tents with private viewing decks, for the couples seeking the absolute piece and tranquillity.

The general guest area consists of a bar, indoor braai (barbecue) and a ten-seater dining table, as well as a games room with a pool table and cable TV.

Dining:

Both self catering and full board service available. The guests dine in the hunting lodge or at the boma, the perfect setting; usually frequented an unexpected visit by some of the wildlife.
